Don't believe the "Temporarily Out" stuff

It has come to Pereira's attention that, even though amazon.com is showing this as "temporarily out of stock", the order will be forwarded to the publisher. Or, you could simply order directly from http://www.tebotbach.org/
.

Take a chance. I believe, sincerely, that this is a pretty f&*$@^g good book. (spoken in the cold December darkness of the day after the end of the world). :)

I will be reading at the San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival on Saturday, November 17th, at 7 P.M. in the Steynberg Gallery on Monterey Street in SLO.

It's a beautiful venue and I hope to see a lot of you there! Here is the festival website, if you would like more information:

is delighted to be one of over 40 contributors to Coming Close: Poets Pay Tribute to Philip Levine as Teacher and Mentor, co-edited by Mari L'Esperance and Tomas Q. Morin. It will be published in early 2013 by Prairie Lights Books, an imprint of the University of Iowa Press! What a joy to have this great man as my friend; to continue to listen and learn from a modern day master.

Several months back, the poet, Millicent Accardi, asked if I would agree to answer some questions about myself and my writing for a piece she was doing for the Portuguese-American Review. I was happy to comply with the request. This is the piece, just up, and I hope you enjoy it.

Heading to Fresno this afternoon to see my old teacher and friend of over 40 years, Poet Laureate Philip Levine, read. It should be a fabulous time, with one of the great poets America has ever delivered, as well as one of the most splendid readers and story tellers ever to grace a stage!

did a "Poetic License" spot for the terrific show, Words on a Wire, from KTEP in El Paso, Texas yesterday. I am about 23 minutes into it, but listen to the entire half hour. Very nice! Thanks again to Daniel Chacon, Benjamin Alire Saenz, and the staff of KTEP.
